Update: Zelenskyy says Starlink speed cap in Ukraine is a 'planned operation,' not a glitch

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that a 161 km/h (about 100 mph) speed cap on Starlink service remains in place in Ukraine, keeping some interceptor drones from downing Russia's jet-powered drones, the Kyiv Independent reported. He said Ukraine sent Starlink-equipped vehicles into EU countries, where the service kept working above 180 km/h, and called the restrictions a "planned operation," dismissing explanations that they stem from "technical issues." The Washington Examiner reported that Elon Musk and the White House have both declined to take responsibility; Starshield is SpaceX's military version of Starlink, which the company says is owned and operated by the U.S. government.
