Violent clashes broke out across France on Saturday as cost-of-living and student protests entered a fourth week, with police using tear gas and water cannons in Paris' Place de la République and the interior ministry reporting at least 272 arrests nationwide, Fox News reported. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu told Parliament that 937 police officers and 149 teachers and school staff have been injured since the protests began, and the justice ministry reports nearly 8,000 arrests; protests have also spread to Belgium.
