Trump promises $5,000 'Trump Dividend' to adult citizens if Republicans hold Congress

At a rally Saturday at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, President Trump said, "If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate, I'm going to give all adults, citizens in the United States of America $5,000," calling it the "Trump Dividend," WLKY reported. Trump said the payments would be funded by tariff revenue and economic growth and estimated the cost at about $1 trillion. He campaigned for Senate nominee Andy Barr and House candidate Ed Gallrein, who defeated Rep. Thomas Massie in the May primary; Kentucky's early voting begins Oct. 29, and Election Day is Nov. 3.
