Kenya's Ebola cases rise to 7, including 3 health workers who treated the first patient

Kenya's Ministry of Health confirmed four new cases of Bundibugyo virus disease, a form of Ebola, bringing the country's total to seven: a close male relative of the first patient, who died, and three health workers who cared for him in the hospital Oct. 3-4, KBC reported. All four were already in quarantine when they developed fever, and the ministry said 128 of 130 identified contacts have been traced and quarantined. The ministry said there is no evidence of community transmission and the risk to the public remains low, but warned more cases among quarantined contacts are possible until their 21-day monitoring ends.
