CEA report: DSA top policies would cost Americans $49 trillion over ten years
Graphic: World Brief Now

President Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers released a report Oct. 1 titled “The Real Cost of Socialism in America,” estimating that adopting the Democratic Socialists of America’s top policies would cost American taxpayers $49 trillion—over $350,000 per household—over the next ten years, the White House said. The White House summary lists policies the report scores, including reopening the border, amnesty, abolishing police including ICE, eliminating prisons, government-run health care for everyone, and canceling all student debt. The release contrasts that agenda with administration claims on tax cuts, border enforcement, energy production, and manufacturing jobs.
