Update: Suspected terror shooting near Paris kills one as France deploys 70,000 police for weekend protests
Graphic: World Brief Now

A gunman killed one person and wounded others, including a 12-year-old girl, in shootings in Trappes, west of Paris, on Friday, and police arrested a 39-year-old man; Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said "this is clearly a terrorist crime" and the motive may be racist, Fox News reported. The Washington Examiner reported Macron called it a "racist terrorist attack." France is deploying 70,000 law enforcement officers and banning most protests ahead of Saturday, and the State Department told Fox News that President Trump's comments on the unrest and mass migration were "spot on" after Macron called foreign leaders' remarks "stupid."
