President Trump asked the Supreme Court on Friday to revive his lawsuit accusing Hillary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey and others of conspiring to link his 2016 campaign to Russia, Reuters reported. U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks dismissed the suit and ordered Trump and attorney Alina Habba to pay nearly $1 million in fees and costs, and the 11th Circuit upheld both in 2025. Trump's lawyers argue the filing deadline should have been extended because he deferred suing during his first term, writing that the Court's intervention "is necessary to protect the presidency." The Court returns to the bench Tuesday, Oct. 13.
