Kingdom, No. 26A416, seeking to pause a district court order blocking the Bureau of Prisons’ February 2026 ban on gender-transition surgeries, hormone therapy and related social accommodations for federal inmates; the Chief Justice requested a response by 4 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Oct. 8. Oral arguments in Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Inc. v. Boulder County remain set for Monday, Oct. 5; Justice Samuel Alito remains recused from that climate-liability dispute, SCOTUSblog has reported. No newer miscellaneous order on either matter appeared Tuesday evening.
