Update: Trump unveils America.gov; Gebbia cites 29,000 government sites
President Donald Trump unveiled America.gov on Tuesday as an AI-powered “one-stop shop” for federal services, Fox News reported from the White House event. Airbnb co-founder and U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia said the site combines information from 29,000 federal government sites and that Americans should be able to complete formal tasks such as name and address changes through it beginning in 2027. Trump said, “With America.gov, the federal government no longer stands in your way it stands only at your service.” The live site at america.gov, checked this morning, presents an AI chat that says it answers only from official government sources, is free, carries no ads, and does not collect or store personal information.
