Update: Russian strikes kill eight across Ukraine; Kharkiv bomb injures 22 Monday as Kyiv hits Krasnodar oil site
Russian attacks across Ukraine on Sunday killed eight people and injured dozens, Al Jazeera reported citing Ukrainian officials, including three killed in Sumy — among them a 16-year-old girl — after air strikes damaged a children’s centre. Early Monday, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said a guided Russian aerial bomb hit an apartment building, injuring at least 22 people including children; President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia launched more than 2,200 attack drones, 1,630 aerial bombs and 38 missiles in the past week. Separately, Zelenskyy said Monday that Ukraine’s military had struck Russian oil facilities in the Krasnodar region, Reuters reported, as traders weighed energy-market fallout from both the Ukraine war and the Iran stalemate.
