Update: Colom still up 2,574 in Mississippi as GOP asks counties to set aside affidavit ballots; Peltola leads by 637 in Alaska

Democrat Scott Colom led Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith 467,930 to 465,356 with about 97% of expected votes counted, MS NOW reported Saturday citing the Associated Press, which has not called the race. USA Today reported that Hyde-Smith's campaign and the National Republican Senatorial Committee asked officials in all 82 counties to set aside and preserve affidavit ballots, while Colom's campaign urged counties to refuse; absentee ballots postmarked by Election Day count if received by Tuesday, Nov. 10. In Alaska, former Rep. Mary Peltola leads Sen. Dan Sullivan by 637 votes with roughly three-quarters counted, and the state expects its ranked-choice tabulation on Nov. 18, USA Today reported.
