Eight days out: Trump sharpens attacks on Michigan Senate candidate El-Sayed as ballot fights in California and Alaska continue

At Sunday's Port Huron rally, President Trump questioned the loyalty of Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and portrayed him as a national security threat; El-Sayed denies any ties to extremist groups, and Arab Americans for Trump founder Bishara Bahbah called the remarks "racist," Fox News reported. The race against Republican Mike Rogers could help decide Senate control. A federal appeals court is weighing the administration's bid to set aside up to 20,000 California mail ballots, and the Justice Department is defending its Alaska certification lawsuit, Fox reported.
