The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill reached a voluntary settlement with the Trump administration that closes 18 Education Department investigations and a separate Justice Department compliance review into alleged antisemitism and race discrimination, with no payment and no admission of wrongdoing, Fox News reported in a story carried by the New York Post. UNC agreed, through the end of 2028, to a 'color-blind admissions system,' race-blind scholarships and financial aid, mandatory antisemitism training and a ban on masks used to conceal identity, subject to exceptions. 'Title VI requires that all students — regardless of their ancestry or race — receive equal treatment under the law,' Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said.
