Prime Minister Mark Carney said Sunday that four service members were killed and dozens more seriously injured after a fire broke out during military training at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta, calling it one of Canada's worst peacetime military tragedies on domestic soil, Fox News reported. Military officials said there were no indications of terrorism, but the cause remains under investigation with the RCMP involved, and those affected included reservists and soldiers from Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. Several Alberta hospitals declared a 'Code Orange' mass-casualty emergency, and Carney ordered flags on federal buildings lowered to half-staff.
