Putin floats a Trump-Xi summit on Ukraine without Zelensky; Rubio says there was 'no pause' in U.S. intelligence for Kyiv

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a three-way summit with President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on ending the Ukraine war, possibly at the Nov. 18-19 APEC meeting in Shenzhen, the Wall Street Journal reported, according to Euronews and CNBC; Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said talks were under way but nothing is agreed, and a U.S. official said Trump has not agreed to attend. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in Uzbekistan Monday 'there has been no pause' in intelligence sharing with Ukraine and 'there's been talks of a meeting,' Al Jazeera and CNBC reported. On Sunday Trump said Zelensky 'doesn't want to end this war, and probably never did,' and defended his Russia sanctions waiver, the Washington Examiner reported.
