Supreme Court·Oral argument
Today: Justices hear the Air Force’s Guam weapons-disposal case on federal environmental review

The Supreme Court hears one hour of argument Wednesday in Department of the Air Force v. Prutehi Guåhan, No. 25-579, with Assistant to the Solicitor General Sopan Joshi for the government and Caroline A. Flynn for Prutehi Guåhan, according to the Court's day call. The questions are whether the Air Force's application to renew a hazardous-waste permit in Guam is a final agency action and whether it must go through National Environmental Policy Act review, Cornell's Legal Information Institute said. The Air Force argues the more specific hazardous-waste law displaces NEPA's general rules.
