The State Department said Friday it approved the sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine for an estimated $2.1 billion, Reuters reported via the New York Post; Ukraine will pay with contributions from Canada, Germany and Norway routed through the US JUMPSTART program plus EU-backed loan funds. Two people briefed on the decision said the missiles, not yet built, are not expected to be delivered until a couple of years into the 2030s, and Zelensky said deliveries "may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS," The Guardian reported. The approval goes to Congress for review.
